1 general warning

5 trail warnings

Small Trail Status Change!
But before that report here’s an important in town notice –
STAY ON TRAIL! Pass the word and help enforce the importance of staying on the trail in private property areas. Every year riders in Shingleton and Munising are leaving the trail and cutting across properties. These people are very welcoming to riders and are only asking for a little courtesy. Now that we have it back, Alger SORVA has Shingleton clearly marked with Arrows and NO Snowmobile signs but have already seen and had trespassing reported. (above photo) So we can keep these trails open, PLEASE be respectful, stay on the trail and off the throttle when in town.

We still do not have enough snow to get back out grooming anything. On the good side, closer inspection and reports from a few dedicated riders does have us bumping up trail status in a few areas. The core of our system from Trail 8/ M-94 in Shingleton to Trail 7 / Buckhorn and North, Trail 7 to just shy of Christmas is in Fair Condition. Beyond that overall riding conditions are still poor with numerous thin, rocky areas and waterholes. No grooming equipment operation scheduled at this time but we are ready as soon as significant snow falls.
About an inch of Snow forecast today, 30 degrees and 5 to 10 mph S winds shifting N. It does look promising later in the week.
If you must venture out please ride with caution and conservatively.
Keep Snow Dancing with your friends and stay tuned for updates!
(Today’s photos are showing Trail 8 Trespassing, Trail 8 at the Tanglewood and snow in the hills of Munising)
