Day three and the weather is trying!
The ground is covered by a very heavy and wet snow so riding will be hard on your machines. Sunday a few dedicated riders have been seen while we were out packing in trails and addressing a few last sign requirements. No grooming yet. As of yesterday there was NO frost line, we were putting posts into a completely thawed ground. Today’s forecast is for 28 degrees, scattered snow showers and 15 to 20 mph winds. Temperatures are supposed to stay in the 20’s so hopefully the ground will be freezing up by the weekend.
If you are out riding, help pack the trails properly by riding conservatively and not digging holes when you you accelerate. A hard flat trail base makes for a great season of grooming and riding.
We will continue to do what we can in preparation so stay tuned for updates!
