TRAILS HOLDING WITH NO CHANGES!
The Pisten Bully was out grooming high traffic trails last night with favorable results. Grooming was completed on Trail 8 from Shingleton West to Trail 7 North continuing to 2 miles short of Christmas. With a hard trail base and little snow the trails are staying rather flat with the high traffic, riders can’t build the moguls without snow.
Overall the core of our trails are in a Fair to Good Condition. We have gravel conditions to the Northwest and rough wet conditions to the Northeast. Trail 418 from Au Train West, Trail 419 from Wetmore to Christmas and Trail 8 North of Shingleton are these problem areas.
Grooming operations will continue to be limited as we watch the weather conditions closely.
Alger SORVA wants to thank our new neighbors to the west, Trenary Northern Trails, for their appreciated help last night. We received reports of a truck that mistakenly drove up Trail 8 onto Trail 417 from Forest Lake Road, was stuck and recovered (tire damage in photos). With being right there, TNT had their scheduled groomer do us a huge favor and clean-up the tire ruts in our 2 mile section of trail to Forest Lake Road. Great neighboring club team work with informing of and coordinating an efficient repair of the trail systems. Thank You Trenary Northern Trails!
Today’s Forecast: Snow, 32 degrees and 5 to 10 mph SE winds becoming NE and firing up the Lake Effect. Still hearing 2 to 5 inches of snow possible into tomorrow, let’s hope so.
If you must venture out please ride with caution and conservatively and PLEASE be respectful, stay on the trail and off the throttle when in the towns. Do your best to be easy on the trail base.
Keep Snow Dancing with your friends and stay tuned for updates!
