Its been quite the struggle but we are getting back to a more normal grooming schedule.
The Prinoth Bison has been repaired and is back in action. It ended up being more than the flex plate we initially thought was the cause.
The flex plate gave up because the splitter box came apart. This is not a normal failure for these machines.
The John Deere 6175 was repaired just to break down again after 8 hours of grooming.
It has another hydro leak! You cant make this stuff up.
We are 100% properly maintaining our groomers. We even use the best quality fluids and filters we can get.
We always perform maintenance based on manufacturer recommendations.
Our machines get worked hard. 8 hour runs of cutting moguls is tough on the equipment.
No matter what we do we are going to have break downs. We are working with surrounding clubs to keep things covered.
We are also working with the DNR to come up with a better process to get backup machines.
