Welcome to the start of our ORV Trail Reports!
These will be posted every week or so depending on changing conditions.

Trails are currently in a Fair to Good overall condition for ORV riding.  The trails are still 80% covered with a packed snow base. Fun but slower riding trail conditions, icy in areas with water holes, soft spots and ruts forming. The combination of ice and soft ruts can easily re-direct your machine, add in a soft snowy bank and you are quickly pulled off the trail. We can attest to that with today’s ride collecting counter data and inspecting trails – see pictures. Overall the trails were adventurous with the bonus of a dozen Turkey seen on Trail 418 and a few Deer on Trail 417 – see pictures. Remember, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is CLOSED to ORV traffic. H-58 from Munising to Grand Marais is the only road through it that is open to ORV use.

Ride safe and have fun!
