POSSIBLE ICY CONDITIONS!
Overall trail conditions groomed out very good to excellent last night. Traffic is light but we were seeing the main arteries get choppy through the day. Right now we are seeing a steady rain fall with an icy crust on the snow. Trails were groomed out ahead of it so they should freeze in flat and hold well, but traffic will definitely play a part in that. Hopefully its very light today.
Grooming Operations:
Operator Keith was out grooming Trail 7 South in the new John Deere 6175 yesterday. Operator Tyler took the Bully through Trail 419, 8, 7/8 and the Wetmore Spur last night while Operator Chris took the new 6175R up Trail 422 and Trail 8 East to 7 miles north of Shingleton.
Past 24 hour Grooming runs:
Trails 419 East, Trail 8 East & West, Trail 7 North & South to Buckhorn Road, Trails 417, 418, 422 and the Wetmore Spur have been groomed with excellent results.
Equipment:
Yesterday the Pisten Bully was down for service work and a broken hydraulic line along with the old John Deere 7130 having a hydraulic line being fixed. Thanks to Al, Sean, Jake and Quest, the large crew that gathered to keep and get machines up and running.
Today’s Forecast: ICE STORM WARNING, 31 degrees and Northeast wind at 5 to 15 mph. Up to a half inch of ice accumulation followed by a half inch of snow.
