Snowing with Tree Clearing Still Underway

We have about 2 to 3 feet of snow with trees still down across the west half of our trail system. Crews have still been out everyday cutting away and clearing with about 50 percent of cleared and bladed. Some grooming has followed up to start building a flat base.
The Alger SORVA Bully is down until at least wednesday while we are waiting for parts. Our John Deere has been out cutting in trails with a groomer as sections are cleared. Back-up Bully has been working hard clearing trails.

We would like to thank R & R Excavating for voluntarily clearing from Christmas south on Trail 7 and east a bit on Trail 7/8. Also thanks to Top Notch Pros, Inc for voluntarily clearing Trail 7 down near CR440. And again thanks to those who have been helping out with tree clearing on their own. We had a stuck CAT closing out two days of work along one of the big snow filled, slippery ditches on Trail 7/8 a Bully had to recover. Other than that it’s been a long hard working process that is still going to take some time.

If out riding, watch for volunteer crews out clearing the trails. Feel free to stop and lend a hand, the sooner trees are cleared the sooner actual grooming can begin.
