Extensive Tree Clearing Underway

Two big snow storms with wet and heavy snow last week put a quick stop to trail grooming. We have about 3 feet of snow on an unfrozen ground trees still down across the west half of our trail system. Crews have been out everyday cutting away and clearing this mess with about 40 percent of cleared and bladed.
We welcome MISORVA for the usual December Board of Directors Meeting at Foggy’s in Christmas ( 10:00 am Saturday – public welcome). Unfortunately we could not have trails at least cleared for the typical ride that accompanies the weekend. Thanks to those who chose to help work on the trails.
To top of this mother nature mess we have had two groomers go down. First the Alger SORVA Bully losing an alternator, belt and fan. This was followed the next day with the Back-up Bully losing a drive speed sensor. The Alger SORVA machine won’t have parts until wednesday and we hope to have the Back-up Bully going Saturday.

We would like to thank those who have been helping out with tree clearing on their own. This is still going to take some time so please bear with our team of volunteers.

If out riding, watch for volunteer crews out clearing the trails. Feel free to stop and lend a hand, the sooner trees are cleared the sooner actual grooming can begin.
