GREAT TRAIL RECOVERY!

Both groomers were out last night with a successful recovery from Thursday’s high traffic, warm weather and rain. Grooming started off rough but as the night progressed new snowfall and dropping temperatures really turned things around. A perfect ribbon began to layout and set hard. (See pictures) Grooming was completed on Trail 8 from Shingleton West to Trail 417 and Trail 7 from the Buckhorn to Christmas.
Overall trails are back to a Fair to Good Condition. Trail 418 from Au Train West, Trail 419 from Wetmore to Christmas and Trail 8 North of Shingleton are the only problem areas.
Grooming operations are going to be limited until we see more snow. We do not want to end up with dirty, non-binding sugar snow from over grooming. We were already seeing some of it created by Thursday’s rainy day snowmobile traffic between Trail 419 Wetmore and Trail 7 South.

Today’s Forecast: Snow Showers, 21degrees and 5 to 10 mph N winds. Only 1/2 inch accumulation forecast.

If you must venture out please ride with caution and conservatively and PLEASE be respectful, stay on the trail and off the throttle when in the towns. Do your best to be easy on the trail base.
Keep Snow Dancing with your friends and stay tuned for updates!

(Today’s photo’s are Trail’s 7, 8 and 418 grooming Friday night and clean-up of Trail 419.)
