On the Edge of Unleashing the Groomers!
The ground is covered with another 3 to 5 inches of fresh snow this morning. Heaviest of the snow fell on the Northeast section of our trails , Miners Castle and Shingleton areas. Yesterday Operator Kris made a Trail 422 run to Miners Castle, Beach and Falls with the Deere and 3-point Dubie Groomer. Trails from Au Train West are still very thin. Our base is really starting to freeze good now but we will still only be doing some spot grooming to finish freezing a few wet areas in. No regular grooming yet.
Today’s forecast is for a sunny 21 degrees, 5 to 10 mph SW winds. Temperatures are to dropping into the teens at night which will help deepen the freeze.
Still – If you must venture out please ride conservatively and not dig holes when you you accelerate. A hard flat trail base makes for a great season of grooming and riding.
Keep Snow Dancing and we will continue to do what we can in preparation. Stay tuned for updates!
