TRAILS LOOKING GOOD AND HELPING NEIGHBORS!
We have a chilly morning with no new snow, lighter traffic and a trail system in with overall good condition, fair to poor in towns and near roadways. There are some icy corners, ice patches and dirty / gravel mix snow in the outlying areas so ride with caution. Operators were getting really good results last night. Our neighboring club in Seney to the East has unfortunately been down to one machine this season and doing what they can to keep up. Last night we helped out at Seney’s requested by grooming an additional 15 miles East on Trail 8 to the Trail 43 Intersection. As usual trails are expected to get choppy throughout the day so ride safe, stay right and enjoy! Keep doing the Cold Weather Snow Dancing and Stay Tuned for updates!

8 East - Shingleton
Good
No new snow with a decent base. We did assist Seney grooming an additional 15 miles East to Trail 8 / 43 intersection, also in Good condition. Last Groomed: 1/2/2022
8 West - Chatham
Good
No new snow with a decent base. Last Groomed: 1/2/2022
7 South - CR440
Good
No new snow, fair base. Thinner in open areas as you head south toward CR440. Last Groomed: 1/2/2022 from Buckhorn Road North
Watch for Icy Corners, stay right and ride with caution.
7 North - Christmas
Fair to Good
No new snow with a fair base. Thinner base closer to Christmas with icy corners. Last Groomed: 1/2/2022

419 East - Wetmore
Fair to Good
No new snow with a fair base from Trail 8 North into Wetmore, Thin and and dirty snow along M28 entering Munising and rough, may be icy and soft in water hole areas. Trail will be choppy, Last Groomed: 1/2/2022 From Wetmore South to Trail 8
419 West - Munising
Poor
No new snow, may be icy and soft in water hole areas. Rough, 2 mile Frog Hollow section off of Brook Street is POOR, rough with soft wet areas and thin, dirty mixed snow. Last Groomed: Bladed 12/28/2021 from Christmas to Munising
418 - Au Train
Poor
No new snow, fair base to the East. West 5 miles are very thin sand/gravel/rocky trail especially along Lake Superior near AuTrain with bare sections. Last Groomed: 1/2/2022
Cross Au Train River bridge with caution as west end railings were damaged a few days ago.
417 - Brownstone Jnct.
Fair to Good
No new snow, minimal base on the North end which is rough and very rocky. Last Groomed: 1/2/2022
422 - Miners Castle
Fair to Good
No new snow, may be icy in wet areas. very little snow cover on 2 mile section of H58. Watch for ruts on Miner Castle Road as some vehicles are attempting to drive it. Last Groomed: 1/1/2022 North to Miner Castle Road
Watch for ruts from significant vehicle traffic to Miners Castle. Also watch for Icy Corners, stay right and ride with caution.
Wetmore Spur
Fair to Good
No new snow, fair base. Watch for a few moguls that developed along M28 near narrow sweeping curve. Last Groomed: 1/2/2022
